Encouragement, Support and Mentoring to Women via Media Outlets

How wonderful this could be to all little black girls who believe in Princesses,
especially my five year old daughter Janiyah.
Unfortunately these dolls are a 'hot mess'!
I personally think the dolls are unacceptable and should be pulled off the shelf!

First off all, they should not have breast. What's that about? Where's the innocents?
I don't think any dolls should have breast. By the time young girls get breast, they are too old to play with dolls, for the most part.
Secondly, these dolls are not cute at all!
Lastly, if they are going to be represented, I think they should design their own dolls, with of course approval from their parents!

What do you think? I say thumbs down, down, down!

I find the dolls Sweet Sasha and Marvelous Malia appalling! I might add that since the dolls are anatomically older (breasts included, ugh!). Why even use the names of the first daughters except to capitalize on their status just to make money! Then, for this toy company to deny their intentions is an insult to our intelligence. The respectful thing to do, would have been to ask permission to use their names but since this was done on-the-sneak; why expect them to be decent now?
Is nothing sacred? Nothing off limits! Are we so star-struck we don’t have any good ethics left as to where to draw the line? To coin a phrase from an old movie - I saw what you did and I know who you are. Definitely a business I don't plan to patronize. I am not buying into the hype or purchasing the dolls! Not for my grandchildren, my nieces, my goddaughters or any other little girl I care about.
I probably won’t buy any other toys from a company that uses such tactics in the name of profits. There are plenty of African-Americans in business I can purchase toys and dolls from and feel good about the support I give their enterprises. I am urging my friends and anyone else who will listen not to purchase the dolls either.

Isn’t it time we stuck together? Isn’t it time to stop doing business and behavior as usual since that is what got this country in the predicament we are in now? We have strayed so far away from God we behave like we have no morals, no virtues, no ethics and look at the mess. Enough is enough! The village spoke and helped to change history. The village needs to continue to make its voice heard. C’mon Village, wake up! I can’t wait to see something in the local media – newspapers, radio and television, etc. that says: The People Have Spoken – Hands Off The Obama Girls!

A Comments from one of our readers:
Thank you for allowing a platform of expression for the Home Girl, CEO.
You and your vision are both absolutely FABULOUS!
As far As my home based business, I haven't completely taking the plunge but, I'm 90% there!

Here's my thing:
I can no longer fall victim to a work place that has not set up ample respect for the single mom! My last job wanted me to work from 4pm-1am. In my opinion, they were telling me to forget about my family, and forget about having a life and let someone else raise your child!
To me, that's truly unacceptable as well as, on the other hand, motivating.
I can't continue to do the same thing and get the same results. I think they call that "insanity", right!
For me, that was a serious wake up call. So now, I'm working through this thing called "fear" and it's been a douzie! However, I plan to succeed at all cost.
I have too! I'm not giving myself any other option and you shouldn't either.
Always remember that we come from a background of strong survivors that would do anything for the price of freedom, even risk loosing their lives.
So , on that note, lets expect to succeed. Let's plan, organize, and execute! Let's be that person that we are waiting to show up! Let's do the do! Let's make a committment to hold each other accountable for success. I'll take the stand first.
