Most people are controlled in their own lives by money whether they have it or not. We are programmed to think about the necessity of money. But in actuality, money is simply a medium of exchange.
I am reminded of the old television show, Gilligan's Island, where the cast of people are stranded on a deserted island. On that island, there was a wealthy couple, The Howells, who were very rich.But on that island their money did not serve them nor did they have any need for the money. Why? Because on the island, there was no medium of exchange and their money had no value there.
When we learn the true meaning of money, then we can begin to put money in it's proper place and not remain so dominated by it. 
There are deeper levels of meaning that actually dominates the choices you make about your money. There are many women asking the question: "What made me earn 100,000 dollars last year and still be broke? 
I can relate to this all so well. I've made great money in the past and still ended up broke.  Because of that I felt feelings of shame, frustration and embarrassment. I would try to hide that fact that I was broke and still try to look the part of being prosperous.  But on the inside, I knew the truth. I remember my children telling me that "people thought we were rich."  And for some reason it was okay with me for them to think that. Even though I knew I didn't have any money. 
I began to reach a defining moment of needing to deal with my money relationship. There was something on a deeper level that was causing me to commit such crime to myself.. I have since discovered some things that may surprise you.
