We all know Winter is Here. So are colds and the flu. Here are some tips for preventing these viral illnesses. And for getting well fast if you do get sick.

Preventing colds and the flu can be summed up in three words: Wash your hands.The viruses that cause colds and the flu enter our bodies by means of our hands.Wash your hands after pumping gas, shopping, etc. A little "hysterical hygiene" goes a long way to keeping colds at away.

Of course, there are herbs that can be used to help keep colds and the flu at bay. Yarrow is a favorite, especially as a tincture. Take a dose of 5-25 drops of yarrow tincture in the morning in water or juice reduces the likelihood of getting sick by more than half.

OSHA: Well I found my body to be very fortunate to have stumbled across a liquid herb as powerful as OSHA. Actually I immediately could feel the warmth soothing my bronchial infection as I placed a few drops of the liquid under my tongue. It's called a "warming" herb for viral infections, coughs, respiratory system and eliminate toxins

Astragalus herb is thought to help keep your immune system healthy so it fights off free radicals and diseases. More recently, the use of the herb is catching on with practitioners of alternative medicine gaining fame for its ability to stimulate and strengthen the immune system. I've thrown a few lozengers on my tongue where the taste was good without imparting much flavor. Powdered astragalus can be added to almost anything, from oatmeal to pancakes, soups to gravies. And there is always the tincture, which works well for children and grandchildren.
