- I am mother to one 30-year-old son who is currently studying criminal/civil law (my first pride and joy - my son), and I have a 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier (my 2nd pride and joy) whose name is Skittles. I am a native of California, born and raised in Los Angeles. I love music, particularly jazz, gospel, some R&B, and oldies but goodies. I spend most of my leisure reading material relative to spiritual growth/personal growth, law of attraction, self development, public speaking, and The Bible. I am an aspiring inspirational speaker and love people as much as I love love spending quiet time alone.
As an aspiring inspirational speaker I NEED time to work on ME, Inc., so I knew I had to come up with a plan to be able to gain the education I need in the area of public speaking, so after praying about the matter and leaving it in God's hands, a wonderful opportunity for women was born.
I recently launched my own Internet opportunity for the primary purpose of generating funds to donate to select non-profit organizations whose mission is to provide resources and/or services to less fortunate women and children in need, particularly in the area of homelessness. The women who join my opportunity help to make it possible just by joining my opportunity. As a result of her philanthropic disposition, she is blessed with many practical gifts in a 7-step process to include, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, quality name brand shoes, feet care products, accessories, cash bonuses, gas bonuses, motivational CDs, empowering books for women, and much more.
I am also the initiator/administrator of SistersNetwork-L.A. (sistersnetworkla.ning.com). The purpose of this Network is to make available free advertising space to women who join the network.
I've graduated with a Masters Degree from the University of Hard Knocks, and am currently working on my PhD from that same University...I'm almost there. This is where I've learned my most valuable lessons. I understand that when Life knocks you down, you don't stay down - you get up and roll with the punches with everything you've got. As The Motivator, Les Brown, once said, "Sometimes Life will catch you on the blind side, and when you're knocked down by it, if you can look up, you can get up!"

As far As my home based business, I haven't completely taking the plunge but, I'm 90% there!
Here's my thing:
I can no longer fall victim to a work place that has not set up ample respect for the single mom! My last job wanted me to work from 4pm-1am. In my opinion, they were telling me to forget about my family, and forget about having a life and let someone else raise your child!
To me, that's truly unacceptable as well as, on the other hand, motivating.
I can't continue to do the same thing and get the same results. I think they call that "insanity", right!
For me, that was a serious wake up call. So now, I'm working through this thing called "fear" and it's been a douzie! However, I plan to succeed at all cost.
I have too! I'm not giving myself any other option and you shouldn't either.
Always remember that we come from a background of strong survivors that would do anything for the price of freedom, even risk loosing their lives.
So , on that note, lets expect to succeed. Let's plan, organize, and execute! Let's be that person that we are waiting to show up! Let's do the do! Let's make a committment to hold each other accountable for success. I'll take the stand first.

Thank you for your comment. I am a doll maker who makes hats. Some of my collectors call me the doll lady... lol. So, my hats tend to be very whimsical, funky-fun - Mad Hatter style hats. Check out my site often because styles change.
