About Me:
African American Women recently celebrated my 60th birthday; and am experiencing an entirely new wave of urgency to maximize my possibilites in a way I never have before. I have two wonderful children who bless my life Every day. a 34 year old son who is a musician in California, and a 28 year old daughter working in Pittsburgh at Highmark, and living on her own.. I am currently still employed with a National Health Non-Profit; am a freelance writer and just completed an assignment for Pitt Magazine which was very affirming! Single at the moment, but figure it must be my season for that
How long have you been in business?
My Organization, Softer Side Seminars has been in existence 5 years
Why did you go into Business?
I never thought this would turn into a business. I was actually inspired by an article I read in a magazine about some of the things women do to themselves when they lack confidence and self esteem. The idea for Softer Side Seminars was birthed out of the realilzation that I was one of those women. The way things worked to my first presentation was my indication that is is definitely a calling on my life
Why did you join the Network?
I love the look of the sight, I beieve that as women we have the gift of inspiring each other; and as I am trying to take my business to the next level I believe the information that is shared on this site will be helpful to me. Plus I wanted to see what I could contribute
Name of Business?
Softer Side Seminars, Inc.

How did you find out about us?
I really knew about the Magazine for some time now, and recently began getting emails about this site

I tried to start a discussion about domestic violence in the forum.
No takers.
O...Well
That won't stop me from trying....
We desperately need to have some conversation about this
growing issue of violence to the core of our family unit
soon.,

Good morning Renee,

Thank you for the comments. Yes, been a Woman in business is difficult but as long as you have family who belief in you, that is one level down. Mary Kay does teach you Self Esteem and a lot of other tools to be successful in life. I wish I knew of this site earlier, but I am here now.

I read you profile and was in press by what you said and your website. I have a question "How come nobody has a website for Mothers and Sons?" That way Men could learn more about how to relate to a Woman. That is just me. I had to teach both my guys, it is a learning in process.

Let us keep in connect with each other.
