Have you watched or listened to The Secret? The Secret is a movie that was created by Rhonda Bynes.
Rhonda defines The Secret as the law of attraction, which is the principle that "like attracts like." Rhonda calls it "the most powerful law in the universe," and says it is working all the time. "What we do is we attract into our lives the things we want, and that is based on what we're thinking and feeling." In essence whatever you are thinking and feeling today, creates your future.
Recently, I have seen Oprah talk about the Secret on her show and in the past I began listening to the audiobook. I have been trying to apply the Secret to my life. This past week, I have had a lot of time to myself and I have been reflecting on my present situation and how I want my future to go. So I have decided that I am going to create a vision board.
A vision board is a collage of the things that you want to have, be, or do in your life. It is a foam board with cut-out pictures, drawings and/or writing on it of the things that you want in your life or the things that you want to become. The purpose of a vision board is to activate the law of attraction to begin to pull things from your external environment that will enable you to realize your dream. By selecting pictures and writing that charges your emotions with feelings of passion, you will begin to see those things appear in your life.
So I am going to create my vision board next Sunday, July 20th at 3pm. You are more than welcome to join me. You will just have to bring a poster board or a foam board and some magazines(good ones are Oprah, Real Simple, Natural Home, Home and Gardens, Essence, Dwell, Travel and Leisure, Parenting, Money). We can share and trade pictures. I'll provide some light refreshments.
Please RSVP to tisha_1998@hotmail.com by Friday, July 18, 2008. Then I will let you know where this will be held. Also forward this email to any other people that you think might be interested. It might be two of us or it might be 10 of us. Everyone is not ready to do things in their life at the same time. I just prefer to collaborate with others whenever possible. In addition, if you haven't seen the movie, The Secret, I can do a screening at 2pm.
So let's start creating our future now. Think and feel healthy, wealthy and prosperous!
