22 Years of Media Targeting the Interest of Women of Color
I truly want to thank all those who attended the 18th Annual International Locks Conference: Natural Hair, wholistic Health and Beauty Expo. Unfortunately, this is the first conference in 18 years that I missed. My mother made transition that weekend, so instead on being in Philadelphia I was in Boston spending the last days with my 89-year-old mother. In my absence, the sisters and brothers had my back. Although we have an awesome team to produce the original and oldest Locks conference in the country, it is nice to know that so many people love and support the effort. Thank you again for your support. Make sure you mark your calendars for the 19th Annual Locks Conference which will take place, October 5 and 6, 2013 www.LocksConference.com
Just a note no matter how spiritual you are, how much knowledge you have or how much you love your family, you are never really prepared when a love one makes transition. My advice is to cherish your interactions with each other, family and friends that way you will build loving memories that will help ease the discomfort of the sense of loss.
